Perfectly timed with the start of London Fashion week, for all those style enthusiasts who were unable to get tickets for the Somerset House show, West Quay was host to its very own catwalk courtesy of Storm Model Management.
Handbags and Gladrags Fashion Event was a perfect opportunity to discover the retailer’s latest lines as well as raising money for Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity and The Saints Foundation.
And I was lucky enough to be asked to model! I’d never done any catwalk work before so I was pretty nervous but I ended up having an amazing day, meeting some fantastic people!
Forty-eight models took part in total. Aged between sixteen and seventy-seven show casing styles for all sizes through petite to tall. It was an early start at 8 o’clock for catwalk training, then straight to hair, make-up and fittings.
Each catwalk showcased a different retailer displaying this years Autumn/Winter trends including classic denim, country chic, 90′s punk and monochrome. Style workshops on accessorising and masterclasses on how to create this season’s capsule wardrobe ran throughout the day.
